Stopping Birth Control Pills – Update #1.

Hi guys and dolls!

It has been about 6 of 7 weeks since I shared that I am stopping birth control pills for the 2nd time in my life, and I wanted to give you all a short little update on how things have changed so far.

I have to say that it doesn’t feel that much different yet. I still can get really depressed from time to time but I do tend to snap out of it faster. Also I didn’t even have to wait that long on my period after I took the last pill and had my last “fake period” on birth control. It only took about 5 to 5,5 weeks untill my body picked it all up naturally. Last time it was a lot different, it ook about 2 months before my body realised it had to do it all by itself. What I did notice was that I had more intense headaches for about 2 days, but that is nothing a regular painkiller can’t help. (Do note that I am not a pill fanatic, I tend to not take any medicine untill I really can’t take it anymore.)

I did notice my skin has become a little bit more oily, but that the acne issues I had last time actually still stay off, fingers crossed it stays this way! For my weight and the feeling bloated part, I don’t notice anything yet, but I do have to say that I haven’t checked how much I weigh for a long time and I tend to keep it that way. To me feeling good doesn’t have anything to do with the amount of pounds I weigh, but more to how I feel inside my own skin. Eventhough I am a size small, I do know that I will loose about 10 to 12 pounds again (I actually gained 10kg *about 22 pounds* because of using the birth control pill) but I haven’t lost my butt or boobs yet so I am a happy camper :D

For now I will try to update you on my journey to being birth control pill free every 1,5 to 2 months. It does take a long while before the pill is completely out of your system and your own body gets back on track again. So I do think I will notice more change in the upcoming few weeks. I will fill you in on that in the next update post!
