Anastasia Beverly Hills – Modern Renaissance Palette.

There are times that a palette is hyped up so much you kind of don’t believe it’s supposed to be that good… and then you try it for yourself and LOVE IT. That’s what happened to me when I got this palette way back in February when we were in New York. I just had to have it when I swatched some colours in the Times Square Sephora. Curious to see what I think about it, please keep on reading!

Let’s keep it quick and simple. The packaging is super neat, not extremely sturdy but it does its job well enough. It has some kind of velvet like furryness which adds a cool touch to the whole palette, but it can get kind of dirty while using it. Inside the palette there is a good mirror (great for traveling) and it contains 14 beautiful shades which fit every skintone.

The swatches on the photo above are made without primer or base as usual. And are just one fingerswipe of product. The overall pigmentation and quality is AMAZING. The shades are really soft and blend super quickly into the skin. There are matte and shimmery shades, so you can make a lot of diverse looks with it. I have to admit that the tones are really warm and can be somewhat dark. But just use a light hand when working with this palette. It’s always easier to add more than to swipe some off.

The palette wasn’t even that super expensive in my opinion. Especially when you look at the quality, pigment and the amount of shadows you get for around $42. Okay, it is a lot of money for just one palette. But sometimes you have got to splurge ;)
